I’ve worked as customer service representative for almost 6 years. I was assigned both for inbound and outbound calls. My clients are usually providers and facilities. In my first company as inbound representative for 3 years we provide claim status information, benefits and eligibility of the patient also were checking authorization and referral status also appeals and reconsideration. I became a claim adjustor as well which monitors, investigates and adjust the claim for payment Then in my second company ive work as well in Healthcare Industry (Working in behalf of facilities) as outbound representative or usually called as AR-follow up our task usually involves in calling different payers or insurances to follow-up the outstanding balance of the claim. We used EPIC to check the EOB of every claim and investigate the denial before we called the payers. We create appeals, reconsideration or dispute to get additional payment for the claim
